Hi, my name is Jamie, I am currently working as a mental health support worker at Harmony and finishing my study of Diploma in Community Services. Here’s a little bit about myself.
1. What special skills do you bring to your work?
“I am compassionate, articulate, empathetic and motivating person. I advocate for self-care and thoroughly enjoy the small or big wins seeing the progress of the client’s journey.”
2. What brought you to Support Work?
“I have worked in aged care and enjoyed one on on support. I completed my Certificate IV in Mental Health, did my student placement at Harmony and continue to work as a mental health support worker for the last 3 years.”
3. What are your favourite hobbies?
“Bachata (latin dancing) Listening to music, concerts, musical theatre, walks.”
4. What do you do for your own wellbeing?
“Mindfulness – I try to journal, go for walks, practice gratitude, listen to podcasts and humour.”
5. What do you like about working for Harmony Homecare?
“I love the flexibility and rewarding experience of working at Harmony Homecare, being surrounded by a supportive care team, and especially enjoyed the Forest walk with Andy.”
